In the center of Vancouver Island, Strathcona Provincial Park is over 600,000 acres of rugged wilderness. Mountain peaks, often topped with snow, cascade down to the long and narrow Buttle Lake. Within hiking distance of the lake, the Upper and Lower Myra Falls lead to turquoise pools surrounded by limestone and basalt rock. Photographer Kevin Light spent five days camping with his family in Strathcona, snapping photos of his views along the way.
